Description:
The Coast to Coast is a route of approximately 192 miles (307 km) linking the Irish Sea to the North Sea. The route goes from St Bees in the west to Robin Hood's Bay in the east. The route crosses three National Parks - the Lake District National Park, the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North York Moors National Park. The route can be comfortably walked in 2 weeks. The inspiration for the Coast to Coast route was Alfred Wainwright, best known for his guides to the Lake District. There is no definitive route, however, this map follows Wainwright's route, with minor modifications that have evolved over time. Detailed mapping, full legend. National Grid. The paper version is mapped at 1:40,000 scale and is available from www.harveymaps.co.uk
