Description:
Trempealeau County, in the Driftless Area of Wisconsin, is one of the premier road biking areas in the Midwest. It's hill country, with long gradual climbs and quick descents on paved roads with as little as six vehicles per hour. The southern tip of the county touches the Mississippi River where flat riding, the Great River Bicycle Trail and Perot State Park offer scenic alternatives to the hills. This map has 20 loops, from 25 to nearly 70 miles in length, mapped out to feature the highlights of the county, including intimate coulees or narrow valleys, scenic ridge tops, and close up views of the Mississippi River. The routes start from multiple locations within the county to give the widest range of bicycle riding experiences.
