Pafos forest occupies the northwest part of the Troodos mountain massif and as a unique area, it is highly protected. Here you can visit the unique Cedar forest as well as the forest station “Stavros tis Psokas” where one can see the Moufflons, a kind of wild sheep found only in Cyprus. There are only four villages in the area which are located on the boundaries of the map. There are a few trails the main one being the E4. On the southern area there are two medieval bridges and as well as ruins of old water mills and villages. The map was created at the scale of 1/25,000 and covers an area of 252 sq. kms. It is very detailed and shows villages and isolated buildings, tracks and footpaths, vegetation and cultivations, caves and churches. Also seasonal streams with their names, water tanks and abandoned water mills, place names, contours every 10 meters and spot heights.
