Mount Si Conservation Area


This map shows hiking trails within the Mount Si Natural Resources Conservation Area near North Bend. Managed by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Mount Si conservation area is primarily used for plant and habitat preservation, as well as low-impact recreation such as hiking. Led by the Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz, DNR manages 1,100 miles of trails and 160-plus recreation sites in working forests and conservation areas statewide. Many recreation areas are located on state trust lands, which the agency manages to generate revenue for statewide public services, including public school construction, universities and emergency services. In addition to providing access for recreation, these lands also help protect against development, support clean air and water and maintain the highest environmental standards available.
