Description:
This is the most recent trail guide for the East Duffins Headwaters (EDH). The EDH is a protected natural area on the Oak Ridges Moraine near Uxbridge. The Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) owns this environmentally significant 1548-hectare forest located in the Duffins Creek Watershed. A mixed deciduous and coniferous forest, it serves many important environmental functions. The EDH provides the opportunity for passive, year-round public use. There is an extensive 100 km long multi-use trail system that links the majority of the EDH lands. Permitted trail uses include hiking, horseback riding, leashed dog-walking, cycling and cross-country skiing.
