Lysøen was Ole Bull's summer housing. The island is a gift from the family of Ole Bull, to Fortidsminneforeningen in Bergen, and is now a museum. Lysøen has 13 km of excellent walking trails, varied scenery, small lakes, viewpoints and several smaal beaches. Lysevågen, at the western part of the island is a popular mooring area for boaters, and there are a harbour north of the old farm houses. In the season, there is boat transport from Buena kai to Lysøen. More information about Lysøen on www.bof.no and www.lysoen.no. Lysøen var Ole Bull sin sumarbustad. Eigedomen er ei gåve frå familien Ole Bull til Fortidsminnesforeningen i Bergen, og er no museum. Lysøen har 13 km gode gangstigar, variert natur, skogstjørn, utsiktstårn og fleire badeplassar. Lysevågen er ei populær uthamn for båtfolket, og det er gjestebryggje nord for gamletunet. I sesongen er det båtskyss fra Buena kai til Lysøen.
