Alaska Dalton Highway Map

Built in 1974 as a service road for the Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (TAPS), the Dalton Highway is a mostly unpaved artery for large trucks. There are few services, towns, or people along this 415-mile route from Livengood to Deadhorse, but natural wonders and wildlife are plentiful as the road makes its way from the Alaskan interior over the Brooks Range at Atigun Pass and down the North Slope towards the Arctic Ocean. Map features include surface condition, mile markers, mile-specific points of interest, fishing access, overlooks, peak elevations, public land use, and vegetation. Legends include travel tips, rules of the road, and charts for monthly temperatures, precipitation averages, and daylight hours. This map also found in the printed Alaska Road & Recreation Atlas
