Located in Michigan's wild and scenic Upper Peninsula, the Hiawatha National Forest's dramatic shorelines lie nestled up to Lakes Superior, Huron and Michigan -- three of the five great lakes. Our lakeshores, lighthouses, islands and abundance of snow create a place of respite and play within a day's drive of urban and rural areas of Michigan, Wisconsin, other nearby states and international locations. Maps and brochures may be purchased at any ranger district office location (reference the contact page) or at the Forest Supervisor's Office. Forest Recreation Maps may be purchased through the mail by sending a check or money order to one of the Ranger District Offices or the Forest Supervisor Office. Forest Service Interactive Visitor Map The Interactive Visitor Map currently includes information for most National Forest recreation sites and roads. The map is a work in progress and will continue to be updated with additional information as it becomes available.
