Twin Cities Paddlesports

What's new:

Added more paddling routes, improved labeling on access roads, updated boat launch and scenic view information

The Twin Cities is a paddler's paradise. The backwaters of the Mississippi and St. Croix Rivers are wild, intimate and full of wildlife. Minnehaha Creek is a mix of lakes, rapids and marshes mixed in with upscale homes and urban parks. The Minneapolis Chain of Lakes hosts hundreds of kayaks, canoes and paddleboards on a warm summer weekend while the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes offers paddlers a twisting course through marsh, woodland and fishing lakes. The mobile Twin Cities Paddlesports map will guide you to the best of the area's waterways with boat launch sites, suggested paddling routes and photo worthy scenic spots. Unique to the Twin Cities Paddlesports Map is bicycle shuttle routes for river and creek runs. Eliminate the need for a second car by locking your bike at the downstream end of your paddle. When you pull out of the river, switch the lock from your bike to the boat, then pedal on bike trails and bicycle friendly roads back to the put in spot.
