new trails and route since last edition
This is the big loop in Upper Bidwell Park. It goes up the Yahi Trail, fords Big Chico Creek, and comes back down the Annie Bidwell Trail. It is one of the finest day hikes in California, especially during March-April flower season. The variety of micro-environments is hard to surpass. Shady sycamores along the creek, bright sun over the Lovejoy basalt, oak woodland, etc Before starting the hike be sure to read this page: http://www.chicohiking.org/CrFlow.htm More information is available at: http://www.chicohiking.org/ValleyFoothill/T-Ford.htm (formerly known as Big Chico Creek loop)
