The 25.5 mile Lusk Creek Loop is characterized by multiple creek crossings and the wooded slopes and valleys of one of Illinois' most pristine waterways. It features historical evidence of past use, rock formations, wilderness solitude, abundant wildlife, scenic views, and a section of the 158 mile River to River Trail. Plan for two to three days to backpack the loop. This Avenza map is designed to be used along with the brochure that provides additional information on the hike. Included are directions, a description of the hike, highlights, points of interest, possible camping spots and water sources. The fees collected from sale price of maps will be deposited in the River to River Trail Societies general fund. The funds will be utilized by the River to River Trail Society for their efforts associated with the Shawnee National Forest and the River to River Trail.
