The Best Maps to Enjoy Australian Beaches

From North to South, find the best beaches

While the North Hemisphere survives the Winter, freezing temperatures and snowstorms, there is still an island in Oceania living upside down. Australia is the sixth biggest country in the world by landmass, home of the Sydney Opera House, the Great Barrier Reef and some of the most beautiful beaches on the planet.

From North to South, Australia is considered one of the countries with the biggest variety of beaches and coastlines, and today we are going to visit the most amazing ones and find the perfect maps to enjoy the best possible day on the sand.

NEW SOUTH WALES

Sydney is the most important city in Australia, even though is not the capital – Canberra is. Among the beaches in Sydney, there is a famous walk on the coast that covers four of the beaches. If you travel from South to North, you’ll start at Coogee and finish at the most famous beach in the whole country: Bondi Beach.

Bondi is one of the landmarks of the city and Australia, being the most popular beach. Famous for the surrounding neighbourhoods and the Australian vibe of the people surfing there, it’s a mandatory stop if you travel to Sydney.

VICTORIA

Moving from Sydney to Victoria, the southeast province in Australia. Melbourne is the main city and when the weather allows it, it has some really beautiful beaches surrounding the city. But if we are looking for the best of the best, we need to drive the Great Ocean Road, a coastal route of almost 700 kilometers (or plus-400 miles) to see the 12 Apostles.

And while on the road, we can find some really amazing beaches. Our favourite to spend a whole sunny and warm morning before hitting the road again is Bells Beach, where you can surf, swim or just relax under the sun.

QUEENSLAND

Now we are flying straight to the north of Australia, visiting Queensland. We can visit Brisbane, drive to Gold Coast and enjoy Surfers Paradise, or even go to Cairns and scuba dive around the Great Barrier Reef, a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. But if we have to choose the best and most amazing beach in Queensland, we are going to Whitsunday Island.

Famous for its crystal white sand and turquoise water, Whitehaven is the best beach on the island. With a pretty constant 26 degrees year-round, it’s the perfect place for a photo session on the water.
